Mental Health in the Workplace

Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) and Central MN SHRM (CMSHRM) would like you to join us for our upcoming panel event on Thursday, May 16th from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. This co-hosted panel event and training will take place at Sauk Rapids Government Center in Sauk Rapids, MN.

Our panelists will be sharing more about their experiences in promoting mental health in the workplace, sharing suggestions and models they have used. The featured panelist for this event includes Steven Loos, Psy.D, LP | Chief Clinical Officer at CMMHC, Lisa Brown, MS | Senior Wellbeing Consultant at Gallagher, Laura Stumvoll | Community Engagement & Partnerships Coordinator at St. Cloud VA, and Sandie Westergren, PHR, SHRM-CP | HR Business Partner at Microbiologics.

Central MN SHRM also invites you to stick around for the afternoon session to learn more from Lisa Bershok, MSW, LICSW | CentraCare Suicide Prevention Program Manager. Lisa will be providing a suicide prevention gatekeeper training where participants can learn more about how workplaces can make a difference in connecting people at risk to the right resources at the right time.  This training teaches you to recognize the warning signs, identify protective and risk factors, and how to respond to someone who is at risk of suicide.  It will also increase your awareness of local and national suicide prevention resources.  Additionally, this training will discuss ways in which workplaces can reduce stigma around mental health and support employees with a variety of workplace specific resources.
