Program DetailsIn this presentation, Keith will explore the executives and employees understanding the tribal nature of their corporations. He will explain how the archetypal roles of hunter, gatherer, shaman and chief have evolved and how performing these roles well can help a corporation prosper and grow. Keith will also clarify corporate culture, explain modern hunting and gathering methods as well as how to win the new bloodless forms of tribal warfare.
Speaker - Keith Wilcock - Wilcock Associates
Keith D. Wilcock, a consulting psychologist, began research into the similarities between corporations and tribes in the early 1970s. He worked as a consultant in his early years with Ernst & Whinney, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. before establishing Wilcock Associates, his own practice, in 1975. He published his first book, “The Corporate Tribe” in 1984.
When Wilcock Associates was acquired in 1987, Mr. Wilcock became a vice prescient of Personnel Decisions Int., one of the largest firms of its type in the world. Over his consulting career, he worked with more than 200 corporations, including major airlines, banks, auto-mobile manufacturers, multinational corporations and family-owned companies. In addition to his US clients, he also consulted in Europe, China, and Canada. After he retired from consulting, Wilcock continued to develop his theories of corporate anthropology. He published, “Hunting and Gathering in the Corporate Tribe” in 2004. He continues to enjoy speaking engagements to present and explain concepts of corporate anthropology.
